"Astonishing variety of moods" - Bruce Pollok (Deems Taylor award winning author of fifteen books on music)

I am not just a film composer, but a storyteller in my own right, weaving emotions and melodies to craft unforgettable cinematic experiences.

My journey as a film composer has been one of exploration and growth, with each project serving as a canvas to paint emotions and evoke connections. With a diverse musical background and an insatiable curiosity for different genres and styles, I bring a unique and versatile approach to every project. Whether it's a poignant documentary that requires soul-stirring orchestrations or an indie film seeking an eclectic fusion of sounds, I am committed to tailoring my compositions to fit the story's essence.

Collaboration lies at the heart of my process. I believe that the best soundtracks are born from a synergy between composer and filmmaker, a partnership where ideas intertwine to create something extraordinary. Your vision becomes my muse, and together, we embark on a sonic journey to breathe life into your project.

As you explore my portfolio, you'll find a tapestry of compositions that have graced independent films and documentaries across a spectrum of themes and emotions. From hauntingly beautiful melodies that underscore the depths of human emotion to dynamic and pulsating rhythms that amplify tension, each piece is a testament to my dedication to crafting music that not only complements visuals but also resonates deeply with the hearts of the audience.

I invite you to explore the magic of melodies and the symphony of stories.

ORIGINAL DOCUMENTARY FILM SOUNDTRACK
On June 7, 2017 Emma Benoit decided her life wasn’t worth living anymore. It was the summer before her senior year of high school and on the outside her life looked perfect. She was a stunning varsity cheerleader with a supportive family and lots of friends, but on the inside she was filled with darkness, depression and anxiety, and had never told a soul about it.

Come Hell or High Water is a collection of modern orchestral pieces. It features emotional violins and touching piano all the way to powerful, uplifting orchestration, and grandiose choir with hybrid elements.
It will be available on iTunes, Amazon, Apple Music, Spotify and all other major distribution networks, starting October 25th, 2018
"Anyone lucky enough to have heard Tudor Maier’s work on the score for the Emmy-winning Just Like Me: Vietnam War, Stories from All Sides, will be delighted by Come Hell or High Water, his first collection of orchestral pieces. Alternately uplifting and haunting, Maier has brought us into a world of extreme emotions, juxtaposing the dramatic and the pastoral, the sacred and the profane.

Alternately harrowing and calming (sometimes within the same piece), the individual tracks are artfully arranged and brilliantly played. We experience an astonishing variety of moods, from the pleasure and pain of solitude, to the expansive dreaminess of an open field, to the cluttered chaos of a surging crowd. Taken as a coherent conceptual whole, the album is a gorgeously realized personal vision of the complex pleasures and contradictions that compose modern life."
